Volunteer with TechForward Tanzania

At TechForward Tanzania, we’re dedicated to using technology, innovation, and social impact to create meaningful change. We welcome passionate individuals from all backgrounds who are excited about tech for social good, innovations, AI, data, and business development, among many other areas.

Whether you’re a technical expert, a student, or someone passionate about making a difference, we invite you to join us in our mission to use technology for the greater good.

✅ Who Can Volunteer?

We are looking for individual volunteers who:

  • Are passionate about technology for social impact, innovation, AI, data, business development, proposal writing, and more

  • Are ready to contribute remotely or in-person (in Dar es Salaam)

  • Can commit to at least 4 weeks of meaningful engagement

  • Have a willingness to learn, collaborate, and bring new ideas to the table

🔧 Areas You Can Contribute To:

As a volunteer, you’ll have the opportunity to work in diverse areas such as:

  • Tech for Social Good: Using technology to address societal challenges and improve lives

  • Innovations: Developing and implementing new technological solutions

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI): Contributing to AI-driven projects for social impact

  • Data Analysis & Visualization: Transforming data into actionable insights

  • Business Development & Partnerships: Supporting growth and strategic collaborations

  • Proposal Writing & Fundraising: Crafting proposals to secure funding and support for projects

  • Project Coordination & Support: Helping manage ongoing tech initiatives and activities

  • Software Development: Contributing to building new apps, tools, and platforms

  • Communications & Media: Telling the story of our work through compelling content

Although the volunteer program is unpaid, we provide:

  • A shared workspace in our Dar es Salaam office (for in-person volunteers)
